Bob Switzer and Jim Straus began working together in 2008 to make outstanding wines that they both love. They opened a tasting room in 2011 co-located within the working winery in a Portland wharehouse. The business grew quickly. The combination of high quality Bordeaux-style wines, reasonable prices, and convemient location within the city of Portland proved to be a winning formula.
They developed strong relationships with quality Columbia Valley vineyards and worked tirelessly to improve the quality of their wines. Their wines have improved each year, and the team has continued to hone skills and employ techniques to bring out the best in the full-bodied Columbia Valley grapes.
The team has grown over the years and developed a dedicated staff that truly cares about providing a remarkable wine tasting and wine buying experience.
The tasting room is vintage urban chic with a knowledgable and friendly staff. Seven Bridges Winery now produces 2500-4000 cases of fine wine each year.
